🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

The beach was paws-itively bustling when we visited! I was on leash (boo!) but I’ve heard whispers of glorious off-leash times too — so check before you go.

I had my snout in the sand from the get-go, with salty breezes, surfer sightings, and so many coastal scents to explore. I even spotted a turtle bobbing in the water – shell yeah!

The only downside? There is a strict no-dog zone nearby, so I had to make sure I didn’t accidentally wander too far… oh, and I got twigs tangled in my fluff while exploring the bushy edges. My hooman was not impressed during detwigging.

Still, a beachy day with sand in my paws and the sea in sight is a good day in my books. 🐾🌊

👤 Human Highlights

Point Cartwright Beach is a stunning Sunshine Coast spot, offering expansive ocean views, a popular surf break, and a scenic headland walk that’s a local favourite. It’s a great place to soak up the sun or enjoy a coastal stroll with your pup — just make sure to double-check the dog-friendly zones and off-leash hours before you go, as restrictions apply in certain areas.

Parking can get busy on weekends, but it’s worth it for the relaxed vibes and natural beauty. And keep your eyes peeled — you might spot a turtle or two offshore! Whether you’re in it for the waves, the walk, or a salty sea breeze, Point Cartwright delivers a classic coastal experience for both two- and four-legged explorers.

Pro Tip

Bring a long lead for on-leash exploration and check local signage or council websites for off-leash hours — some areas nearby may be off-limits to dogs.
