🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
I’ve munched my way through a few different flavours, but this chicken one? Chef’s paw-kiss!
It’s tasty, crunchy, and just the right size for my little chompers. I get one scoop a day (yes, only one… injustice!) and I wolf it down faster than you can say “sit.”
The kibble’s teeny-tiny—just like me—and super easy to chew. No jaw acrobatics required! Plus, my tummy feels happy, my coat’s looking shiny (if I do say so myself), and let’s just say the “output” is… well, polite.
Every evening when I hear that scoop hit the bowl, I come sprinting like it’s the 100m dash at the Puplympics. And the hoomans? They say I’ve got more energy, fewer itches, and I smell a lot less like “dog” and more like sunshine and sass.
I asked if I could get it for breakfast and dinner. They laughed. Rude.
Oh, Luna also loves this, especially as it has a Schnauzer on the packaging. Personally, I think it would look better with me on it!

👤 Human Highlights
After exploring various dry food options, we’ve settled on Black Hawk Grain Free Chicken for Small Breed Dogs as a staple in Ralph’s diet. He enjoys a scoop of this kibble in the evening, complemented by wet food. This combination keeps his meals balanced and his enthusiasm at mealtime high.
Here’s why this product works well for us:
- Appropriate Kibble Size: The smaller kibble is ideal for Ralph’s petite mouth, making it easier for him to chew and digest.
- Grain-Free Formula: While Ralph doesn’t have specific grain sensitivities, we’ve noticed that grain-free diets tend to agree with his digestion, leading to more consistent bowel movements.
- Quality Protein Source: The primary ingredient is Australian chicken meal, providing a lean and digestible protein.
- Natural Ingredients: The recipe includes a blend of vegetables, fruits, and oils, such as sweet potato, blueberries, and fish oil, contributing to a balanced diet without artificial additives.
- Positive Health Indicators: Since incorporating this kibble into his diet, Ralph’s coat has become shinier, and we’ve observed fewer digestive issues, suggesting improved overall health.
While we don’t claim this is the ultimate dog food for every small breed, it aligns well with Ralph’s needs and preferences. The combination of quality ingredients and noticeable health benefits makes it a reliable choice for our daily routine.
This product comes in both 2.5 kg and 7 kg packs. We found that it is usually cheaper to plan ahead and get the 7 kg pack.
