Dog Product Review – Pet Potty Grass

Looking for a real grass dog toilet for your balcony or courtyard? The Turf Loo is the perfect natural potty solution for small breed dogs like Cavoodles, Spoodles, or Miniature Schnauzers. Ideal as a backup loo for apartment living, it’s easy to maintain, odour-friendly, and helps your dog transition away from smelly fake grass pads.

🐶 Doggo Rating👤 Hooman Rating
💖 What we liked? ✅ I’ve moved on from fake grass – real turf feels grown up
Smells natural, not plasticky.
Perfect for those ’emergency number ones’ or the occasional ‘numbers two poos’
✅ No more synthetic turf odours lingering
✅ No constant hosing / scrubbing – occasional rinse does the trick
🤷 What we didn’t? Still waiting for hooman to add a little shrub for ambience
❌I had to learn that it was not a spot for digging or gardening
May need a turf refresh every 4-8 weeks, and the occassional soil refresh.
Price indicator🦴🦴🦴🦴$80 to $120

🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

Let it be known: I’ve graduated.

Yup – from the plastic, fake-smelling turf to the real deal.

The Turf Loo is fresh, grassy, earthy… and just the way nature intended. I love having the option when I really gotta go, especially in the wee hours.

No more dramatic pawing at the door.

It smells like the park, feels like freedom, and hey, no one likes peeing on plastic forever. You could say I’ve levelled up my loo life.

👤 Human Highlights

We made the switch after dealing with the lingering stink of synthetic mats – and never looked back.

Ralph now only tends to use The Turf Loo if it’s urgent. Thanks to regular walks, he mostly holds on and uses it as a backup, not a full-time toilet.

That means less mess, less stress, and no need for deep cleaning every other day.

We grab fresh turf from Bunnings or the landscape yard every 4–6 weeks, give it the occasional water or trim, and the soil gets swapped out now and then.

Minimal effort for maximum convenience (especially at 2am when we’re not in the mood for the stairs).

(You may also buy it from ‘bricks and mortar’ pet shops, but we find it’s usually cheaper if we buy online.)
