🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
Alright, let’s talk about the real star of Bundaberg – Roxy the Dinosaur. 🦖
Yep, you heard me. A giant dino lives at Coral Villa Motor Inn, and Luna and I were both equal parts suspicious and impressed. I gave her a few warning barks (you can’t be too careful), but she just stood there looking fabulous.
No sudden moves. Pretty chill for someone with such tiny arms.
Now onto the digs: this place was totally paw-some! There was a nice little garden to stretch our legs, sniff things, and supervise the carpark traffic like the responsible floofs we are.
The hoomans didn’t have to sneak us in under a blanket or beg at the front desk either – dogs are actually welcome here, not just “tolerated if silent and invisible.” Big difference. 👏
Luna made herself right at home while I kept an eye on Roxy (just in case she came to life Jurassic Park-style – you never know).
Best part? No pet fees! That meant more money for snacks and squeaky toys. Coral Villa really gets us. 5/5 would boop again. 🐾

👤 Human Highlights
If you’re travelling through Bundaberg and need a pet-friendly overnight stop, Coral Villa Motor Inn ticks all the important boxes. It’s not a luxury resort, but it’s clean, convenient, and comes with a genuinely warm welcome – which counts for a lot after a long drive.
We were pleasantly surprised when the motel staff called ahead to let us know our room was ready earlier than expected. That small gesture made check-in super smooth and gave us time to settle in before dinner. The staff were friendly, helpful, and didn’t bat an eye when Luna barked at the plastic dinosaur out front.
Our room was basic but functional, with a private ensuite, a comfy bed, and a small kitchenette that came in handy. Parking was right at our doorstep, which made it easy to unload all our dog gear (because let’s be honest – they travel with more stuff than we do).
Location-wise, the motel is in a handy spot – just a short drive to most of Bundaberg’s highlights. We popped down to the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens for a stroll and considered a visit to the Rum Distillery (though it turns out they’re less dog-friendly than our motel). There’s also a Woolworths close by for stocking up on essentials.
As for the atmosphere, it had a relaxed, slightly retro vibe. The tropical garden added a nice touch of calm and made us feel like we were further off the highway than we actually were. It’s a good spot to unwind, especially if you’re continuing your journey the next day.

Pro Tip
Don’t forget to say hi (or woof) to Roxy the Dinosaur in the yard.
