🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
I couldn’t help but stare at that enormous white lighthouse – it’s like a giant beacon calling all pups to come sniff!
I tried to figure out if it might dispense treats, but alas, no luck there.
I also nearly chased a shark… (Okay fine, it was just a painting… but it looked real.)
This spot is super breezy – perfect for letting my ears flap in the wind and pretending I’m in a dramatic movie scene.
It was great to bask in the sun while keeping an eye on the waves, the bush turkeys, and every single tree for pee-mail. It’s definitely more of a hooman photo op, but I was content strutting around on-lead, soaking in the views and pretending I was the official lighthouse lookout dog. Just keep an eye out – some areas are a no-go for pups.

👤 Human Highlights
Point Cartwright Lighthouse is a local gem perched at the edge of the coast, offering panoramic views over the ocean, Mooloolaba, and beyond.
It’s a favourite spot for a scenic stroll or a peaceful moment to watch the waves roll in.
Time your visit right, and you might even spot whales breaching during migration season.
The lighthouse itself is iconic — a great backdrop for photos — and the surrounding paths make for a lovely loop walk with your pup. Just be mindful that while most of the area is dog-friendly (on-lead), there are a few zones where dogs aren’t permitted, so keep an eye on the signage.

Pro Tip
Stick to the signed walking tracks and enjoy the breezy views—sunrise or sunset up here is next-level stunning.
