🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
Point Vernon? More like Point Very-Fun! 🐾
This place had it all—off-leash and on-leash zones, so I got the best of all four paws.

I chased crabs, poked my nose into rock pools (hello fishies! 🐟🦀), and had a good ol’ bark at some bush turkeys that were acting a little too confident for my liking.
The sand was perfect for digging, and the open space gave me zoomies in all directions.
If you’re a pup who loves exploring and getting your paws wet and dirty, this place is doggy heaven!

👤 Human Highlights
If you’re after peace and quiet away from the busier beach strips, Point Vernon in Hervey Bay is where it’s at.
With a much more relaxed vibe than central Hervey Bay, it’s perfect for a slow, scenic wander with your furry mate.

The coastline here is dotted with beautiful rocky outcrops and sea pools that are magical to explore at low tide.
Facilities? Yep—there are parks for the kids, shaded grassy spots, public showers to rinse off after beachy fun, and amenities blocks.
It’s a low-key but well-equipped spot that makes it easy to stay a while.

Pro Tip
Time your visit for low tide to get the full rock pool experience—and don’t forget a towel, water bowl, and maybe even a picnic!
