Oh. My. Dog!… this is the most galactically amazing thing ever!
A giant dish the size of a zillion waterbowls—seriously, I lost track of how many zoomies that could fuel. PLUS… my hoomans told me they once played a ball game on the dish!!! What more could a pup want?
I would love to be an astronaut (or astro-dog) someday… or at the very least, send my bark across the galaxy for the universe to hear.
The smells were out of this world too… cosmic sniffing galore.
👤 Human Highlights
While dogs aren’t allowed inside the visitor centre, there’s plenty of outdoor seating where your pup can safely watch the gigantic satellite dish and take in the space vibes.
The onsite café is handy for a snack or coffee while you explore, and there are a few interactive outdoor experiments that make for a fun stop.
Not a dog-specific destination, but definitely dog-okay in the outdoor areas, and the scale of the dish is something you—and your pup—won’t forget.
Pro-Tip
Keep an eye on the dish—if you time it right, you can watch it moving, which is truly mesmerising and makes for a perfect photo op.
