🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
The Yeppoon Foreshore is paws down one of my favourite places in Yeppoon for a leisurely stroll.
There’s a long, sniff-tastic path perfect for walkies, with salty sea breezes, plenty of new scents, and a steady stream of fellow puppers and their hoomans out for a coastal wander.

But a woof of warning: no pups allowed in the lagoon area (boo!), even though it looked like a splashin’ good time for the mini-hoomans. I tried to convince them I was part seal, but no luck. 😒
The best part? I definitely saw a sea monster. (Okay, maybe it was a sculpture of a kraken coming out of the ground—but still, very dramatic and bark-worthy!)
This place is pawfect for a morning trot or an evening leg-stretch, with heaps of spots to sit, people-watch, and lap up the views.

👤 Human Highlights
Located right along Yeppoon’s main strip, the foreshore is the perfect place to enjoy a scenic walk with your pup while being just a few steps away from great cafes, restaurants, and takeaway options. On quieter weekdays like Monday, it’s calm and breezy—ideal for a relaxed stroll before or after brunch.
On weekends, though, it can come alive. When we visited on a Sunday, there was a bustling community festival in full swing, giving the area an energetic, vibrant feel with local food stalls and entertainment.
While dogs aren’t allowed in the lagoon (a free public water splashing area for kids and families), there’s still plenty of space to roam and enjoy the coastline.
The public artwork, picnic spaces, and shaded seating make it a lovely spot to slow down and soak in the relaxed Capricorn Coast vibe.
It’s clean and well-kept, with easy access to shops, parking, and coastal views.

Pro Tip
Plan your walk before or after brunch at a nearby café—many have dog-friendly outdoor seating just across from the beach.
For nearby dog-friendy cafes, make sure you check out our reviews of The Citrus Club and Lure.
