🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

Big open grass? Check. Interesting sculptures? Double check. Endless photo opportunities where I get to be the centre of attention? Heck yes! 📸

Luna and I had an absolute blast sniffing around the Cultural Forecourt – especially this massive metal tower thingy that the hoomans said looked like the Eiffel Tower. I didn’t see any baguettes, but it was fun to trot around. 🇫🇷🗼

Then we played hide-and-seek in the giant Brisbane sign – which, by the way, has a giant ‘R’ on it. Obviously for Ralph. I mean, what else would it stand for? 😎 People kept lining up to take photos with me – clearly, they knew they were in the presence of greatness. 🐾📷

It’s a paw-some spot to roll in the grass, soak up some sun, and feel like a local celebrity. 10/10 would pose again.

👤 Hooman Highlights

The Southbank Cultural Forecourt is one of Brisbane’s go-to spaces for events, performances, and celebrations. Whether it’s festivals, live music, or art installations – there’s often something going on. And when there’s not? It’s still a fabulous place for a wander.

It offers stunning river views, easy access to the iconic Brisbane sign, and is perfectly positioned to explore South Bank, QPAC, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, The Wheel of Brisbane, ABC Studios, and even the brand-new Neville Bonner Bridge, which links directly to Queen’s Wharf and the Star Casino.

Plenty of grassy space to relax, have a picnic, or just take in the buzz of Brisbane’s cultural scene. Accessible by public transport, and with dog-friendly paths surrounding the area, it’s a fantastic base for an urban day out.

Pro Tip

The Brisbane sign gets busy, especially on weekends – swing by early for the best photo ops and fewer humans in the background of your dog’s modelling debut. 🐕
