🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
WATERFALL ALERT! You know it’s going to be a good walk when there’s the sound of rushing water and plenty of new smells to sniff.
Kinbombi Falls was a tail-wagger of an adventure – even if it did involve a lot of stairs for my little legs. 🐾
The path led us down past rocky ledges and lookout spots, and while I had to stay on leash (safety first, hoomans!), there were plenty of spots to stop, sniff, and pose for the ‘gram. I even did a bit of rock-hopping like a four-legged mountain goat. 🐐
No swimming for pups here, but I gave it five solid tail wags for the views, the fresh air, and the sheer number of sniffs on offer.

👤 Human Highlights
Kinbombi Falls was a quick but rewarding nature stop not far from Gayndah – perfect for stretching the legs after some time on the road. The walking trail is short but includes a decent stair section, so be ready for a mini workout.
Once at the bottom, you’re treated to a peaceful little gorge and the sound of cascading water – very calming. There weren’t many other people around when we visited, which added to the tranquility.
There are picnic areas near the top, so it’s a great spot to enjoy a snack and take in the views post-walk. Dog-friendly, as long as pups stay leashed – and the lookout areas are well-positioned for a good panoramic photo or two.

Pro Tip
There are quite a few stairs involved, so bring water and wear good shoes – and keep your pup leashed for safety on the rocky sections.
