🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

I dragged my hooman along to this little café on the main strip and while they ordered, I had to park myself outside (there was no special doggie menu, but that’s fine).

The good news: there was a water bowl left out for me — top marks on that front.

I nabbed a couple of ‘sit and stays’ at the front where people-watching and puppy-eye training go hand in paw.

Inside I could sense a warm buzz of chatter and coffee machines, but the staff didn’t stop to give me pats or fuss — apparently they were flat out making coffee and meals.

I don’t mind the vibe, but I’ll admit I still wanted a pat. Still: water sorted, sunny seat found, and a chance to flirt with some friendly faces = a decent outing from my point of view.

👤 Human Highlights

Tucked into Bowra Street in Nambucca Heads, Good Time Charlie’s presents as a charming local café with a relaxed, coastal-town feel.

The coffee was smooth and tasty, and hit the spot.  The food menu leans light and café-style — think bagels, toasties, and breakfast classics — with options for dietary preferences (gluten-free choices visible).

There’s some seating outside (perfect for a dog and its human), and more inside if you prefer to stay out off the path.

The service is friendly and sufficiently efficient. The vibe overall: unpretentious, welcoming, and perfect for a stop-in while exploring the town… they live up to their name, good coffee, good food and good times.

Pro Tip

Take your coffee to go and wander down to Bellwood Park or the V-Wall for a scenic sip with salty air and plenty of sniffing stops.
