🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

I really liked this park, even though it felt a bit more serious than my usual zoomie zones.

It’s the kind of place that makes a pup slow down and take it all in. There’s heaps of space to walk and sniff, with big grassy patches to sprawl out and watch the waves—or fellow walkers.

But fair warning, pals: the cement paths can get hot hot HOT under the summer sun, and there’s not a lot of shade, so maybe don’t drag your hooman there at midday unless you want toasted paw pads! 🥵🐾

What really made me sit up and pay attention was the War Dog Memorial—a special place honouring heroic pups who served alongside their hoomans. It made me feel proud and a little emotional (but I blamed the wind in my eyes).

Then there’s this big structure called the HMAS Brisbane Memorial, and even more tributes like the Korean War Memorial. It’s not your usual fetch spot, but it’s a pawsitively respectful place to learn and reflect.

👤 Human Highlights

A unique blend of natural beauty and local heritage. This section of the Mooloolaba coastal walk rewards visitors with stunning panoramic views across the ocean—from Mooloolaba Beach all the way to Point Cartwright.

Along the way, you’ll encounter several commemorative sites such as the HMAS Brisbane Memorial, the War Dog Memorial, Korean War Memorial that offer a deeper understanding of the region’s military history.

There are benches for quiet contemplation, wide paths for strolling, and grassy areas to picnic or pause. However, note that shade is limited—so plan your visit for early morning or late afternoon, especially in warmer months.

Pro Tip

Pack water and go early or late—shade is scarce and those concrete paths heat up fast in summer.
