🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
Chill vibes on the verandah = 10/10 for lounging and people-watching.
I made some new friends (both dog and hooman varieties), and even got some sneaky pats from strangers who clearly recognised greatness when they saw it. Shade, fresh air, and room to wiggle my butt excitedly — that’s what I call a premium dining setup.
Only downside? I heard rumours of “art” inside, but apparently pups aren’t allowed in there. Something about “precious exhibits.” I am a precious exhibit, but whatever. I was too busy socialising to care.

👤 Human Highlights
A relaxed, dog-friendly café with outdoor verandah seating that’s perfect for a lazy lunch or mid-morning treat.
Staff were warm and welcoming to both humans and hounds, often stopping for a quick pat or greeting. The food and coffee hit the spot, and the atmosphere felt very local and unpretentious — the perfect combo.
Being attached to the Ballina Gallery, there’s an added cultural perk: if you’ve got someone to mind the pup, you can pop inside for a quick browse between bites.
Overall, a lovely stop for travellers and locals alike looking for a calm spot to dine with their doggo.

Pro Tip
Grab a verandah table near the front rail — it’s prime position for pup socialising and people-watching. And if you’re travelling with company, take turns ducking into the art gallery next door for a quick culture hit while the other babysits the pooch!
