🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
If you’re after fresh air, leafy trails, and enough new smells to make your sniffer spin – this place is a winner.
I had to stay on-lead the whole time (no complaints – I still strutted like a champ) and wasn’t allowed in the water (rude 😤), but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the cool breeze and keeping a very close eye on those noisy bush turkeys and ducks. 🦆
It’s a pawsome spot for a chill outing – shady paths, loads of grass, and endless opportunities to leave pee-mail on the trees.
Just don’t expect any splash time – dogs have to stay out of the dam. Sigh.

Ewen Maddock Park is a peaceful and scenic picnic area nestled beside the dam, offering plenty of space to relax, eat, and stretch your legs.
With walking tracks, BBQ facilities, and lovely water views, it’s an ideal spot to escape the buzz and breathe in some fresh hinterland air. 🌿
Dogs are welcome but must remain on-lead, and they’re not permitted in the dam itself. There’s ample parking, and while it can get busy on weekends, there’s usually a quiet patch to claim as your own.

Bring a long lead for your picnic or BBQ so your pup can lounge nearby while staying on the right side of the rules.
