Adventure? ✔️ Views? ✔️ New smells? Double ✔️!
This stretch of the Maroubra to Coogee Coastal Walk had everything — rocky paths, grassy patches, a few sandy stops, and even some boardwalks where I strutted like a runway pup.
I loved exploring the cliffside trails and sniffing through the wetlands (though I was told “no pooping zones,” whatever that means 🙄).
I spotted people splashing at Wylie’s Baths, and I definitely wanted to jump in too — but apparently, “dogs can’t swim there.”
Still, with so much to see (and so many different textures under my paws), this was one epic adventure. 🐾🌿🐕

👤 Human Highlights
The Maroubra to Coogee (or Coogee to Maroubra) Coastal Walk winds past iconic stops like Wedding Cake Lookout, with its dramatic cliffside views, Wylie’s Baths, a historic ocean pool loved by locals, and the South Coogee Wetlands, where a short detour through native vegetation gives the walk a tranquil feel.
Expect a mix of terrain, stairs, rocky paths, and boardwalks, with plenty of resting points and ocean breezes to keep things fresh.
Some sections can close for maintenance (especially around the cliffs), so it’s best to check before heading out. If you hit a detour, a quick check on Google Maps will keep you on track. And of course, keep an eye out for the multi-million dollar houses with their multi-million dollar views.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, moderately easy coastal walk combining seaside scenery, nature, and local charm — ideal for both two- and four-legged explorers. 🐕🌊

Pro Tip
Start early or go near sunset for cooler temps, calmer foot traffic, and golden photo lighting — and don’t forget water for you and your pup! 🌅🐾
