🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
Beach? Check. Breeze? Check. Sand dune lookout adventure? DOUBLE CHECK. 🐾
Luna and I had an absolute tail-wagging time exploring the beach side of Causeway Lake.
It’s a super chill spot, with soft sand under paw,and shallow water for splashy trots during low tide.
But the real surprise? A big ol’ sneaky trail to a lookout – talk about a workout for the paws!
We huffed, we puffed, and when we got to the top, the view made Luna stop mid-sniff.
We could see the lake, the coastline, and even some tiny hoomans fishing way below. Total top-dog vibes.

👤 Human Highlights
The beach side of Causeway Lake offers a calm, less-crowded spot for on-leash beach walks, shallow water paddling, and a little touch of adventure.
The peaceful vibe makes it ideal for dog lovers looking to escape the busier lakeside picnic zones.
A highlight is the short walk up to an unofficial lookout – the trail is easy to spot and leads to a surprisingly good lookout with views over the lake and surrounding bushland.
Not many facilities here, so come prepared – but if you’re chasing quiet nature time with your pup, this one’s a gem.

Pro Tip
Go at low tide and explore the vast sand banks – but wear good shoes (and bring water for both you and your pup).
