🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
Ah, hoomans need to eat, I get it… but I wasn’t overly impressed with my own setup. Sorrentos by the Beach is a nice little spot for hoomans to grab some food, but I had to be tied to a tree 🌳 since there weren’t any proper tether points and the tables were apparently a bit too flimsy if I wanted to chase something. Not ideal for a pup who likes a comfy spot! Plus, it’s close to the road 🚗, so I had to keep my paws alert.
Still, the smells were tempting, fried fish, crispy chips, and the occasional breeze carrying something delicious my nose couldn’t resist sniffing 👃🍟. I kept an eye on the passersby, and there were some friendly dogs around too, which made it slightly more interesting.
For pups, this isn’t the most relaxing hangout due to the limited outdoor options. But if your hoomans are quick eaters, you can still enjoy the sights and smells without too much fuss. 🐶
All in all, a paw-average experience for me. Not a spot I’d hang out at for hours, but a decent pit-stop if your humans are craving a classic fish-and-chip fix. 🐾

👤 Human Highlights
Sorrentos by the Beach is a little fish and chip shop right on Coolum’s main street, with outdoor seating that lets you soak up the beachside vibes 🌊. The menu is what you’d expect from a fish and chip shop, fresh, simple, and satisfying, though the servings lean slightly on the smaller side for the price.
The décor has casual coastal charm, with chalkboard notes adding a local, quirky touch. It’s not fine dining, but with its prime main-street location, it’s hard to complain. Perfect for a quick lunch or snack during a stroll along Coolum.
Staff are young and efficient—ready to get the job done—but don’t expect high-end service. You might need a bit of patience, especially during busy periods, but the casual vibe fits the spot’s easygoing atmosphere.
Overall, Sorrentos by the Beach delivers what it promises: quick, simple, tasty fish and chips in a prime Coolum location. Great for a casual bite while enjoying the town and the beach, even if it’s not a gourmet experience.

Pro Tip
If bringing your pup, bring a portable tether or be ready to keep them close—it’s not very dog-friendly on the street side.
