🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

Chippa had plenty going for it from a pup’s perspective… mostly space. There were a few outdoor tables and chairs where Luna and I could chi (chill) while our hoomans did their eating thing. I took my post seriously, watching the world go by and making sure no chips went unobserved.

Sadly, the culinary spoils for pups were limited. No crumbs, no chips, no water bowl—just me and my excellent manners. Still, the open-air seating and coastal breeze made it a pretty relaxing spot to keep an eye on things while the hoomans dug into their meals.

👤 Human Highlights

Chippa is a local fish-and-chip shop with a simple coastal vibe, conveniently located for a quick bite in Evans Head. The outdoor seating provides a nice place to enjoy the air and watch the world go by, and it’s spacious enough to bring a dog along, though you’ll need to bring your own water bowl.

On the day of our visit, service was a little slow, even though there weren’t many customers around, which was a minor disappointment. The food itself was as expected for traditional fish and chips, nothing fancy but it hits the spot if you’re craving classic fried fish.

Overall, Chippa is a casual, straightforward choice for locals or travellers looking for a quick seafood fix, just don’t count on any special pup treats.

Pro-Tip

Bring a water bowl for your dog and enjoy the coastal vibes while the hoomans tuck into some classic fried fish and chips.
