🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective

Nothing like a quick leg stretch with a sea breeze up the snout!

Ballina Heads Lookout was a top spot for some quality sniffs — salty air, grassy patches, mysterious cliffside scents… irresistible. I even claimed the cliffside as my very own with a strategic poop. You’re welcome, future explorers… though my hoomans didn’t seem that impressed. Not sure why!

But the real highlight? Dolphins! Actual flip-flopping, water-boinging dolphins in the distance. I barked my approval, but apparently my hoomans preferred to admire quietly. Either way — 10/10 coastal chaos. Would sniff again.

👤 Human Highlights

Ballina Heads Lookout is a simple but stunning stop that offers panoramic views over the coastline, perfect for a quick visit with your pup.

With easy access, convenient parking and a wide open lookout platform, it’s ideal for stretching the legs and taking in those sea views without much effort.

We even spotted dolphins cruising past offshore, which made the trip even more memorable. A great little vantage point if you’re touring Ballina or breaking up a drive. Relaxed, breezy, and worth a stop — especially if your four-legged friend enjoys a scenic sniff.

Pro Tip

Bring binoculars (or just zoom in on your phone) — between whales in season and dolphins year-round, there’s always a chance for bonus wildlife spotting while your pup supervises the ocean.
