Dog-Friendly Market Review – Pup-approved Summary
Rainbow Beach is a riot of colour, creatures, and canine-approved smells. With bright stairs for the ‘Gram and bush turkeys for entertainment, it’s the ulti-mutt combo of nature, nosework, and good views.

🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
Rainbow Beach is a sniff-tacular paradise! There’s loads of open grassy space to explore, though I had to stay on leash the whole time (boo – apparently the bush turkeys didn’t ask to be chased).
Speaking of those gobbly goblins, they were everywhere strutting around like they owned the joint — very suspicious if you ask me.
So many smells too – beachy breezes, picnic leftovers, and mysterious corners in the bushes.
Oh, and the rainbow stairs? Total Insta-gold, though I was more interested in what might’ve peed on them last. 5/5 would wag again.
And there was this ginormous propellor thing that my hoomans made me sit in front.

This spot has everything you need for a great day out.
There’s a shaded playground for the kiddos, clean amenities close by, and plenty of open space to lounge or picnic, not to mention the street of cafes and eateries nearby.
The lookout overlooking the beach gives you some pretty stunning views, making it a perfect place to stop and take in the scenery (or snap a cute photo with your four-legged sidekick).
It’s a popular spot, but still feels relaxed — ideal for soaking up sunshine and good vibes… oh, and some parts of the beach are dog-friendly.
Pro Tip
Bring a pie or coffee from the bakery just up the road (Check out our review here) , claim a shady patch near the playground, and enjoy the sea breeze. Keep your pup on leash and your eyes peeled for bush turkeys and other wildlife by the beach and in the ocean.
