Looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly park near Caloundra? Ivadale Family Park offers wide open green spaces, family-friendly facilities, and bird-filled walking trails that will delight both dogs and humans alike. While there’s no fenced dog area or water bowls, this leafy local spot is perfect for a leashed stroll with plenty of sniffing opportunities. A hidden gem nestled in the suburbs, it’s ideal for dog owners seeking a relaxed outing with nature vibes.

Perfect for: bird-obsessed pups, on-lead adventurers, and families looking to combine dog walks with picnics.

🐶 Luna’s Lowdown

Ivadale Family Park is a hidden gem wrapped in suburbia and sprinkled with bird drama. I clocked at least 15 ibises, two moorhens, a magpie on patrol, and a suspicious pigeon who stared a bit too long.

The paths are prime for sniffvestigations, and the wide open grass is perfect for a tactical roll.

On-lead only, unfortunately—but still plenty to assess. Benches scattered throughout offer optimal surveillance posts. Water bowls? No. But puddles? Yes.

Noteworthy: Someone had chips near the BBQ area last week. Still detectable.

👤 Human Highlights

This park offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle, even though it’s smack-bang in suburbia.

Lush with greenery and packed with birdsong, it feels more like a nature walk than a suburban loop.

It’s family-friendly, with BBQs, a small playground, and well-kept paths—ideal for a morning stroll or post-coffee wander.

It does get a little muddy after rain, so maybe leave the white sneakers at home.

Pro Tip

Bring a long lead and a towel—if your pup’s a bird-watcher like me, you’ll be here a while.
