🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
So. Many. Lights.
So many colours.
So many shiny things to stare at while wagging slightly faster than usual.
The hoomans were VERY excited — lots of pointing, ooo-ing and ahh-ing — which obviously meant this was a big deal.
It’s on a fairly busy road, so I stayed on lead like a good boy, but honestly… who doesn’t love a night-time adventure with twinkly lights everywhere?

👤 Human Highlights
Easily one of the best Christmas light displays on the Sunshine Coast, the Queen Street, Kings Beach lights are a brilliant example of community spirit done right.
Two neighbouring apartment blocks have clearly coordinated their efforts, decorating balconies top to bottom with Christmas lights to create a unified, eye-catching display.
The scale of the lighting means it’s visible from a distance, drawing in a steady flow of cars and families who slow down, stop briefly, or cruise past to take it all in. There’s something genuinely heartwarming about seeing residents collectively contribute to such a joyful public display — no tickets, no queues, just festive cheer shared with anyone passing by.
While it’s not a walk-through display, it’s perfect for a festive evening drive or a short stop to soak up the atmosphere.
Dogs are welcome (on lead), making it an easy, low-effort Christmas outing if you’re already nearby or looking for something simple and joyful to add to your holiday routine.

Pro Tip
Visit after full dark for maximum impact, and if you’re stopping briefly, be mindful of traffic — it’s best enjoyed as a slow drive-by, or find a park and go for a breezy walk.
