🐶 Ralph’s Pawspective
What a day out! My hoomans took me for a stroll down Military Jetty, and let me tell you — it was a whole new world of sights and smells. There were people everywhere with fishing rods, lines in the water, and even buckets with wriggly, squirmy fish inside. 🐟 My little tail went into overdrive!
At one point, I thought I had struck gold — maybe I could keep one of those fish as a pet? Imagine it swimming around in my water bowl! But nooo, apparently “fish don’t belong in your crate, Ralph” (whatever that means). Honestly, sometimes my hoomans don’t understand my vision. 🙄
Still, I loved the salty coastal breeze, the sound of the waves slapping against the jetty, and the thrill of seeing families and kids hauling in fish almost bigger than me! (Okay, maybe not that big… but still impressive). For a pup like me, it was nose-twitching, tail-wagging fun. 🐾

Military Jetty in Golden Beach is one of those spots where community and coastal life really come together. Situated opposite a caravan park, it’s a busy little hub, especially on sunny weekends, where families and kids line up with their rods and tackle.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with the kind of energy that makes it easy to spend a couple of hours just soaking up the sun and salty air. It’s not just for the seasoned fishers either, we saw plenty of kids proudly reeling in their own catches, and from what we witnessed, there were plenty of fish biting!
For anyone looking to unwind, enjoy the sea breeze, or spend time outdoors with their pup in tow, Military Jetty is a simple yet rewarding outing. Just don’t expect your dog to understand why they can’t take a “pet fish” home with them.
